Welcome in, you beautiful soul…

I know that seeing a new stylist can be anxiety-inducing and intimidating. I don’t want any of my clients to feel that way! That’ 's why  I’ve created a welcome packet full of all the need-to-know information so that you can be as prepared as possible and feel more at ease!

Hey hey! I’m Jamie!

I’ve been in the beauty industry for almost 15 years! I’ve been in the beauty industry my entire adult life. I got my start working at MAC Cosmetics during the height of their popularity. I decided to go to cosmetology school after going to photo shoots in L.A. and having to fill in for the hairstylists that were inevitably stuck in traffic or couldn’t make it. It’s all history after that! I fell in love with doing hair and enjoy the science behind it all while getting to make people feel amazing!

I’m all about laid-back luxury. I wholeheartedly believe that we as humans are not seen or heard too often and live life at too fast of a pace. I like to be able to create a space for my clients to slow down, take a deep breath and take a load off their shoulders!

Prior To Your Visit

Prior to your visit, you will receive a confirmation e-mail and you will also get a confirmation text after the appointment is made.

I will send you a form to fill out prior to your appointment. Please be sure to fill it out in full before coming in to your appointment.

A reminder text and e-mail will be sent out 48 hours prior to your appointment.

I kindly ask that you confirm your appointment so that I know to expect you at your appointment. Please have your form filled out completely prior to your appointment to avoid losing appointment time.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, feel free to do so using the link from the reminders.

What To Expect The Day of Your Appointment

Please come a few minutes early to ensure you find the building the salon is located in and to find parking. It’s no fun feeling rushed and stressed out to your appointment where you’re hoping to relax!

The salon is located on the south corner of Adams Ave and 36th Street. We are directly across the street from White Rice Bodega and across the way from Vons. We are directly next to Bica restaurant.

There is limited parking directly in front of the building, as well as street parking throughout the neighborhood.

Throughout the week parking is pretty easy to find and the parking lot doesn’t get too packed. Fridays and Saturdays are when parking is the most difficult to find, so please plan accordingly.

There is a waiting area directly in front of the entrance of the front door where you can feel free to sit. I will come out and greet you and offer you a beverage and snacks. We have both alcoholic (red/white/rose wine, white claw, and beer) for those 21+ and non-alcoholic (flat/sparkling water, assortment of tea, coffee with flavoring options) and an abundance of snacks that we rotate.

Important Appointment Tips

Please come to your appointment with clean, 100% dry hair. If you have straight to wavy hair, please make sure your hair is brushed out. If you’re curly-haired, please leave it in its natural state so that I can better assess what cut and/or color will be best suited for you.

Please do not wear or bring any items that are expensive or sentimental. Given the nature of the salon, items can potentially be stained and jewelry can be lost.

Try to avoid anything with a collar, turtle necks or hoods that cannot be taken off. This creates a lot of bulk underneath the cape and can make working with the hair difficult.

Please feel free to utilize my “CHAT/CHILL” card that’s on my mirror. Flip it to whichever mode you’d like to set your appointment! If you would prefer a less chatty or silent appointment, feel free to flip it over to “CHILL.”

If you need to work while at your appointment or would like to watch tv or read, please feel free to bring your devices. I do have iPhone and Android chargers, but please make sure you have your specific cable to any tablets or laptops. I have an outlet strip directly at my station, so feel free to use it!

I don’t mind if you prefer to listen to music, podcasts, or audiobooks. Bring in your headphones if you’d like! I just ask that they be earbuds, as over-the-head styles get in the way of color.

Please be aware that if we’re doing a lot of foiling, I tend to get focused and may not be as chatty during application, but I’m always more than happy to sit with you afterward and talk!
